Karate Kids in Cave Creek “Shell-ebrate” Discipline, Fitness and 25 Years of Ninja Turtles

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will engage local Arizona fans through an interactive experience at The Cave Creek Black Belt Academy.

On June 30th, kids in Cave Creek and from across the valley will be cheering “Cowabunga!” when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) arrive at the Cave Creek Black Belt Academy as part of a nationwide tour celebrating their 25th Anniversary.

“It takes discipline to stay fit, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are superhero icons that encourage kids to be active through martial arts,” says Alissa Semanko, Owner and Operator of the Cave Creek Black Belt Academy and Karate for Kids. “I’m really excited that the TMNT Party Bus is coming to our academy in Cave Creek as part of their 25th Anniversary road trip.”

The official “Shell-ebration” marking the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 25th Anniversary kicked off in their New York City home to begin a year-long series of interactive experiences for their fans across America. To celebrate The American Taekwondo Association (ATA) has teamed up with the TMNT as they tour the nation on a road trip in the recreated TMNT Party Bus.  The bus, an interactive museum on wheels, features original artifacts spanning their history, gaming stations enabling fans to enjoy an array of Turtles’ video games, photo opportunities with the beloved turtillian brethren, along with martial arts demonstrations.

The TMNT Party Bus will be at the Cave Creek Black Belt Academy on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. For location details, visit http://www.karatebuilt.com. More information about the ATA and TMNT partnership can be found at http://www.ataonline.com/tmnt.
